Content ratings and the safety filter
Stories use four current content ratings: Everyone, Teen, Mature, and Adult. A story normally shows its own classification. If the story has not been classified separately, it uses its world's classification. Star scores from readers are separate and never change a story's content rating.
For signed-in readers, the safety filter is an on/off setting and is on by default. While it is on, browse, search, story details, and starting a session are limited to Everyone and Teen stories. A direct link can therefore be unavailable even when the story still exists. Turn the filter off in your profile to include Mature and Adult stories.
During onboarding, the comfort choices are Everyone, Teen, and Mature. Everyone or Teen turns the safety filter on; Mature turns it off. You can change the filter later in your profile.
Onboarding also lets you choose the reading mood you want and topics you would rather avoid. The selected comfort level and topics apply when loading onboarding pilot recommendations; saving keeps them as account preferences. They do not replace a Story's rating or guarantee that every mention of a selected topic will be hidden. Use the safety filter for the rating limit, and check a Story's own classification before starting it.
Rate a story
You can give a story a score from one to five stars after completing one of your own reading sessions for it. The rating control is not shown before you are eligible. Your newest score replaces your earlier score for the same story rather than creating a second rating.
If a rating is refused, confirm that the story is published, that you are signed into the account that completed the session, and that the session has ended. Avoid submitting repeatedly while the first request is still loading.
Send feedback to a creator
After you have played a story, use Feedback to send the creator a positive note, suggestion, bug report, or point of confusion. Feedback text must contain between 1 and 2,000 characters. The product may attach the relevant session or event so the creator can understand the context. An attached event must belong to that Story and its creator; an unrelated event is refused.
Feedback goes to the creator's feedback workspace. It is different from a moderation report: use Report instead when content or conduct may violate platform rules.
Report a story, creator, or asset
Use Report on the relevant surface and select one of the reasons the form currently provides. A report identifies the Story, creator, asset, World, or party named by the current reporting surface. It may also identify the session or message involved. The optional explanation can contain up to 500 characters. Reports enter a pending review queue; filing one does not promise immediate removal or a particular moderation result.
In the Main website's Community, Report identifies one contribution, account or reading circle. Staff review the submitted context; private reading runs and reporter identity are not exposed in a public decision. The affected reader can request a case-linked appeal. See [community safety](/help/story-community) for blocking and reporting choices.
What to include
Identify the story or creator, the scene or item involved, the selected reason, and what you saw. Do not include passwords, payment-card details, authentication tokens, private keys, or one-time codes. Each account can submit at most three new reports in a five-minute window. Repeating the same target and reason while its ticket is pending updates that ticket instead of creating a second one. Wait if the product asks you to before submitting another report. For an urgent privacy or account-security issue, ask for human support as well.
