Read together in Community
Community in the Mystrix website is a place to talk about Stories and the site. Each contribution belongs to a published Story, an episode, an available character in that Story, or a staff-created site topic. There is no general status wall or community direct-message inbox. Fictional-character World chat remains a separate, clearly labeled experience.
Choose your participation
Open Community → Your choices to join. Participation is optional. An existing public profile does not join Community for you, and joining does not publish your reading history. Human community participation requires an adult declaration; a reading comfort setting does not establish your age.
Sharing reading highlights also requires Allow deliberate milestone sharing in Your choices. Turning it off stops new shares and withdraws access to your existing milestone shares. Each share still requires you to choose its audience and exact highlights, then preview those choices. Changing a choice requires a new preview before publishing.
Choose whether other readers can discover you, whether you accept friend requests, and the default audience for contributions. Select Story interests deliberately. Private libraries, purchases, live presence, reading choices and email addresses are not added to your Storyboard.
You can leave Community in Your choices and continue reading. You can also download your retained community contributions and your relationship choices. A download contains your own data, not another reader's private run or moderation evidence.
Leaving does not hide your safety controls or existing decisions and appeals. You can still remove a follow or friendship, decline a pending request, change notice preferences, and withdraw a circle membership, shared progress, comparison or reading invitation. If its shared context is unavailable, the list shows only a generic label and your withdrawal action; it does not disclose the other readers' content.
Follow someone or become friends
Following adds a person's eligible public Story contributions to your Community view. A follow does not grant permission to message you or export your email address. A friendship requires the other reader to accept your request. It enables specifically shared contributions and invitations; it does not expose private reading history.
Open Connections to manage friends, incoming requests, sent requests and followed readers. Cancelling or declining a request is different from blocking an account. Removing a friendship takes away friend-only access on subsequent reads.
Share a thought with context
Open a Story discussion and choose Share a story thought. Recommend, reflect or ask a question about that Story. Choose an audience and spoiler boundary, then preview the contribution before sharing. Other readers reply within that same discussion and its audience. They cannot move it to another Story or widen its audience through a reply. Replies can choose a stricter spoiler boundary, and must still satisfy the opening contribution's boundary. Reply links open the full discussion with its opening context.
From a Story's public character profile, choose Discuss with readers to open a discussion about that character. The Story and character stay attached to its contributions and replies. View character returns to the public profile. These are conversations between readers, separate from fictional-character chat.
Staff can temporarily pause an individual contribution or sharing purpose. Its new contributions or shares are unavailable during the pause. You can still read permitted existing content, withdraw your own contribution, and use safety reports or appeals.
If an edit meets a newer revision, Mystrix keeps your unsaved prose or checkpoint and shows the current revision. Load that revision, review your draft and save deliberately.
Your Storyboard collects your own eligible contributions. You can pin selected contributions and save others privately. Constructive acknowledgements express usefulness; they are not a popularity score or a way to earn moderation privileges.
Community presents a finite reading list. Use the Story link when you are ready to return to reading. There is no need to keep scrolling to finish an endless feed.
Keep discoveries safe
Two people can finish the same episode and know different things. Mystrix uses the selected run's actual discoveries and compatible Story context when deciding what to reveal. A hidden contribution does not include its secret text in the page payload.
Choose an explicit spoiler boundary whenever the text could reveal a discovery. A reader can deliberately reveal spoilers, but that never grants access to a private audience, an unavailable Story, or material outside their current reading permissions.
Sealed theories keep the original prediction fixed. Add an amendment to develop your idea; do not rewrite the original. The chosen recipients, their consent and the release condition control revelation. A path comparison likewise requires both readers to choose specific shared highlights from compatible Story contexts. Neither flow shares the full transcript, private prompts or a private session identifier.
Circles, plans and reading invitations
A reading circle belongs to a Story. It is an asynchronous place to return to a discussion; a party is the existing shared playback experience. A circle does not create a duplicate copy of every contribution.
A circle host can remove a named member. That removes their shared progress and current circle access; they need a new invitation to join again. The circle shows its actual occupied places separately from the roster you may view. A full circle explains why another place is unavailable. Circle and reading-invitation cards use the Story's current cover when one exists.
Plans provide optional checkpoints and dates. Sharing progress is a separate choice, and a plan never forces you to keep pace. Next-Story suggestions use deliberate shared interests and the Story catalogue. Moving on does not retarget old discussions or enroll people in another circle without their consent.
A friend or circle invitation opens an existing reading party. Party capacity, expiry, Story access and host rules still apply. Accepting an invitation does not purchase access or bypass reading permissions.
Make the space comfortable
Mute a person to quiet your own view, hide an individual contribution, or mute a discussion's notices. Blocking is stronger: it removes community contact and visibility between the accounts. Unblocking does not restore removed follows or friendships.
You can also Dismiss suggestion in People without muting, unfollowing or removing a friendship. The suggestion stays dismissed for 30 days. Open Connections → Dismissed suggestions to undo that private choice, including after reloading the page.
Report an exact contribution, account or reading circle for spam, off-topic posting, unwanted contact, impersonation, unmarked spoilers or another listed concern. Your report goes to staff, and its explanation is limited to 500 characters. Repeating the same open report updates that case. You can inspect its actual outcome in your report history.
An affected reader can inspect a community decision and submit one case-linked appeal. The decision explains its rule, scope and duration. Staff can restrict community posting or invitations while leaving Story reading available. Reporters' identities and private case evidence do not appear in public decision explanations. Decisions include their creation date and current state, so a restored or superseded restriction is distinguishable from one still in effect. An appeal to one restriction does not erase a different current restriction.
An appeal remains available only while its original case evidence is retained. Expired appeals and unavailable evidence are identified explicitly; they cannot be revived by submitting another explanation.
Use Support for private account, payment or security problems. Do not post passwords, tokens or payment details in a contribution, report or appeal.
