The deliveries are funded by descendants of shipwreck survivors who believe Elias's forbidden light saved them after the government extinguished it. Someone has begun changing the order to lure modern vessels onto the same reef. Across eight episodes, Mara and historian Leonie Voss reconstruct Elias's last storm, expose a salvage scheme hiding inside local legend, and decide whether the light belongs to the state, the island, the dead keeper, or no one.
