Mara tends an officially dead lighthouse on Black Rock because routine is easier than returning to the mainland. Then a crate arrives for Elias Croft, keeper deceased since 1971, containing lamp oil, six bowls, and a log entry dated tomorrow. The deliveries are funded by descendants of shipwreck survivors who believe Elias's forbidden light saved them after the government extinguished it. Someone has begun changing the order to lure modern vessels onto the same reef. Across eight episodes, Mara and historian Leonie Voss reconstruct Elias's last storm, expose a salvage scheme hiding inside local legend, and decide whether the light belongs to the state, the island, the dead keeper, or no one.

The crate is dry despite rain and bears Elias Croft's obsolete keeper number.

世界

Black Rock

Black Rock is a decommissioned lighthouse outside Port Blight, maintained by Mara as a historic station and emergency refuge. Its old supply order outlived the keeper who signed it, the company that filled it, and the public budget that once paid for it. The lamp can still save a vessel or wreck one. Every eerie occurrence has more than one plausible cause: weather, neglected machinery, grief, local conspiracy, or something the story refuses to settle for the reader.

    Maritime historian and incident investigator

Maritime historian Leonie Voss is curious without being credulous and always asks who benefits from a comforting legend. Transparent chart overlays help her find old rescue lanes beneath modern routes.
